I live here currently. Have been living here for 2 years, recently moved into a bigger multiple level unit as the size of my family has grown. Anytime I've had to call maintenance for anything, they've been very prompt and polite. I've dealt with two office members mostly, Destiny and Moses, and also the young lady who's desk is right at the front door, but everyone is very helpful and polite always. Things break, issues happen, especially when a building isn't brand new. But in all my time living here I've never had any major issues, or anything happen that didn't get resolved immediately. Once in my last unit I came home from work about 930 at night to find the paint in my bathroom ceiling bubbling down. Even though it was well after hours, the maintenance guy (who at the time was Moses) was in my apt about 20 minutes after the call. My HVAC had randomly sprung a leak and it was all fixed within about 3 days. There are good people working here doing the best they can with an older property. As a hotel manger of an older property myself, I understand how things are going to happen. What matters most is how the staff reacts and deals with the guests/tenants. These folks are understanding, polite and get things done. I'm grateful to have a home here for me and my family.

I'm a current resident and I have been living here a few months. Since the day I moved in, there were some issues with my apartment. So, why a five star review? Because maintenance and the leasing office both have been awesome about the issues. Things are fixed in a timely manner, and they've had to call in a couple of outside contractors to get things done. It didn't take ages to get someone in. For one issue I experienced, an outside contractor was here in my apartment before the day was over. My air conditioning wasn't hooked up properly and didn't work. Getting someone to fix that takes awhile. It didn't take them long to tell me that someone was coming to fix it. As far as the place itself? People live their lives. Sometimes you hear music or dogs or kids or people coming home. Because they live here. It's their home. My building is fairly quiet, and everyone is respectful of what time it is. I've gotten to know people and everyone is pretty cool. It's also a dog-friendly space! The dog park is nice and there are plenty of places for you to walk your dogs. There are also tons of areas to dispose of waste and the bags are free. Sure, some people don't clean up after their dogs, but that's the fault of the resident - not the property. Overall, I'm really happy with my decision to sign a lease here. The views are beautiful, staff is friendly, it's a great place for the dogs, and a great location.

The place wasn't a match for us for various reasons; however, I really wanted to call out how impressed I was with the leasing consultant Ashley K. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job of showing us the property. I could imagine her being very successful working at a high end luxury property. Kudos Ashley!

My mom lives here and this is what I've noticed: 1. Staff members that works at the leasing office are so kind and friendly! 2. Maintenance is so fast and knowledgeable. 3. My Dog loves the Doggy Park on site. 4. There's a Fitness Center ready for you at all times. 5. They have a movie screen in their BBQ Zone, which I have to say, it's pretty amazing for family time. 6. I love the pool in the summer and I can't wait to join the other tenants that I notice doing laps in the early AM. 7. It's just so pretty here, a beautiful mountain view behind the college right up the street from the light rail station, how convenient is that? Now, the only request that I have is.... "How soon can I move into one of your studio apartments?"

My apartment is like any apartment in that it has parts I love, and parts that need to be fixed when they break. To be clear, I love my place! It’s an older property, so the rooms are bigger even if a little dated. But the place really comes together with my own touches, and I love my balcony. I’ve been here a year now and just renewed my lease. The staff, tho, is what makes this property unique. From the office, to the groundskeeping and maintenance crew, I see the effort and talent they have for being available and actively working on improving the environment, my apartment included. I feel safe, and more like I’m living in a community here. Some of the staff have or are living on site, so they are clear about what residents want and need. I feel they are dialed in to the needs of this property and those who live here. A shoutout to Moses, Seth, Destiny, Kim, and the two dudes with beards. (I’ll remember their names later. My bad.) The thing is, they’re dialed in. They’re bringing this property into a much more valuable state than even just the one year I’ve been here. I definitely recommend Ascend.

Just a shout out to say thank you for everything that you all do! It is enormously appriviated! We have been living at this complex for over 2 years now. We have changed apartments recently, we were looking for a lower level apartment, and a quite space with welcoming a new baby soon! To be honest we never really had any issues with anyone working for the complex. There are normal wear and tear and very fixable issues! Nothing out of the ordinary at all! The office always helps us out with what ever we need help with, they are always attentive and very welcoming. The maintaince is doing a good job. There are not a lot of them but they always try to stay on top of everything as much as possible. If they cannot fix something on their own to work on bringing in a contractor as soon as possible! Everyone that works is has been nothing but friendly and very welcoming! Thank you again for everything that you all do, we really appreciate it!

Just moved here from Texas and did not have an opportunity to visit the area beforehand so it was a bit of a gamble choosing an apartment that way. However, the property manager, Amanda, went above and beyond to make the transition as smooth as possible for us! And when we finally arrived, we were happily surprised that the location was even better than we expected. The people are super friendly and helpful and the complex and neighborhood are really beautiful. Nice landscaping and trees all through the complex. Having a washer and dryer in-unit is a big upgrade from our last place and the balcony is quite spacious. The area is SUPER quiet and peaceful and there are lots of places to walk and bike. The gym is clean with some nice pieces of equipment and has huge windows with a nice view. They are in the process of upgrading the equipment too. The buildings are a little older so the floors can be a little squeaky in some spots but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker for us. The price is very reasonable and we have a nice view of the mountains from our balcony! We’re like 15-20 minutes from Lair o’ the Bear and 15 min from Red Rocks. Overall, we’re really happy with our decision to move here and super excited for all the memories we’re going to make here.

Each staff member has been extremely friendly and welcoming! During our leasing process, Kellie was amazing each step of the way. Moving states is a stressful process in general, however, Kellie worked wonders to get us in quickly, gave in-depth answers to all of our questions, and was one of the most personable leasing consultants I've encountered. The property grounds are very well kept by the staff and perfect for walking your dogs! This apartment complex is extremely pet friendly and our dog has daily opportunities to meet other furry friends outside, which is an absolute bonus. The apartment was in great condition upon move-in, and I have decently high standards due to working in the leasing industry. My only suggestion to future residents would be to plan accordingly with the size of your furniture. The inside breezeways/stairs are a bit tight, and we weren't able to fit a section of our couch up to the 3rd-floor unit. The apartment itself is much more spacious than I thought it was going to be, so it was kind of a bummer about the couch section not fitting up the stairs. Like I said though, everything else has been better than I could ask for, and I'm looking forward to continuing the great experience!

We’ve had 2 leaks within the last month which unfortunately just comes along with apartment living. They both happened on a weekend and Troy was on top of it at our door within the hour to help get it taken care of. The first leak required a lot more attention but Troy kept us updated on the status of the plumber and the second leak on our washer he was in and out super quick and replaced our water lines. Without him being on your maintenance team we would’ve had a lot more issues and been a lot more frustrated!

We wanted to take the time to let Josh. Destiny, and Kellie know how much we appreciate them. Ascend at Red Rocks is very fortunate to have 3 staff members who care about their residents as if they were family. They will do what ever it takes to resolve any issues that come up and will follow through until such issues are resolved. This is a nice little apartment complex for what I pay for. It's so nice having a washer AND dryer in unit and I have a one bedroom with a den. That den space is very much appreciated especially with working from home during the pandemic. The ladies who work in the leasing office are really nice. Lived here for a year and had a pleasant experience. The office staff was always polite and helpful whenever there was an issue (which wasn't often) and the maintenance staff was outstanding. They always responded promptly if anything needed addressed. Mark was especially kind and helpful. Only issues were minor, parking could often times be a nightmare as the lot filled up very quickly on evenings and weekends. Luckily I was never a victim, but there was a short period where car break-ins seemed quite frequent and you could find cars with busted windows and broken glass every couple of days. Overall, I had a good experience here

They worked with us and even switched our lease a day back so we wouldn't have a late fee due to the problems we were having. He is not only great at resolving the problem, he is super polite, very good at respecting my apartment and my belongs. First off I'm going to start by saying my review should hold the most value as I've lived here for almost 7 years now. I gave the 4 star rating because the current management is doing the best they can and just for that I raised my rating from an initial 2 star to 4 I've seen three management companies manage this property since 2012 and by far the current team is better than the last two. The first was managing the property under the name Red Rocks Apartments. The current leasing office was actually just a club house with basic exercise equipment on the top floor which is now just opened up in the main walkway. The nicer apartments down the road were also part of the complex so I'm glad they separated with two teams now. The current paint job is not my favorite and the black carpeting in the hallways is a bad idea for obvious reasons. Buildings are older but the updates are just enough to keep the place nice. I wouldn't call it luxury but it isn't trash either.

We've been loving our experience at Ascend so far! Most of the apartments are updated, or are being updated. We had a couple of minor issues when we first moved in and all were handled swiftly (within a week of moving in). About 3 weeks in, we noticed some issues with our carpets due to previous tenants. I expressed my concern to Chanel (the property manager) and without hesitation, she went above and beyond to remedy the situation. We couldn't be happier with the apartment or the managing team.

(Heavier weighted on the extremes of very good/very bad ratings). They're the same people that probably got evicted because they couldn't pay their rent.

Absolutely a wonderful move in. Greeting card awaiting us on the counter with candies for the kids. Some minor repairs needed but its a rental so there's that. Experienced a messy job of a maintinence employee that still has not changed our minds about our choice to move in here. Totally happy with it. Management has been great to us and very helpful. Community as a whole is so quiet at night that you could hear a pin drop. Beautiful little play area and pool for family time, as well as an extremely clean mini gym.

Moved in November 2017 and have not had a single issue. Everyone in the office is responsive to my requests and maintenance is very fast to resolve all issues that are reported. The online payment took for rent works flawlessly. Great, clean apartments and surrounding area.

Update: Now that the new management company has taken in over (early 2016) things have gotten much better. They have a great maintenance team who have been out several times. The management team are great and seem to be on top of things. There are now community events that are pretty nice to go to. Overall I am very happy and would recommend Ascend. Original: Everything has gone downhill since the new management company took over. They are disorganized and rude. Forget about maintanence fixing anything! There is trash overflowing the trash cans, no doggie poo bags, construction is taking up half of all parking lots, the new paint is horrible, and the staff in the office are rude! They towed cars of half our building with less than 24 hours notice because they need to repave the lot, which looks terrible. Oh, and they raised rents. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere with a descent management company!!!
